New Moms, Old Moms, New Old Moms…

Welcome back! Have you Joined The Club?

As I scroll through the dictionary definitions of Mom and Mother, I don’t actually see any age requirements listed. That leads me to believe that, within reason, there aren’t any.

I joined the New Old Moms Club right from the get go. Being a bit of a late bloomer, my first daughter was born just after I turned thirty. It was funny because I was exactly thirty years younger than my Mom, too.

Two more little ladies showed up within the next two years and my “mom status” was quickly moving toward just plain “old mom.”

A week in the Dominican Republic catapulted me head first into the ‘New” old mom category. My fourth daughter was born shortly after I turned 40!

My husband wanted to name her Margarita (or ‘one too many’) but my other three girls quickly nixed that idea.

Oh where oh where did the energy I had at thirty go?

My older three daughters are now 11, 12, and 14. The baby is 2 1/2.

I’m not quite sure who is more difficult…the Toddler or the Teen!

Honestly, though, I can’t tell you how special these girls are!

As kids get older we forget how it was when they were small. This little one brings back that flood of memories including those first steps, first words and those sleepless nights!

I thank my lucky stars everyday for my children. They bring light and love into our hearts.

The New Old Moms Club is a place for New Moms (of any age), Old Moms and New Old Moms to gather and share their stories, their questions, their knowledge and their support.

As president of this club, I look forward to opening the doors to many different topics and offering a laugh, a tear or some decent advice where I can!

Thanks for joining me…
